line drawings, i enjoy continuous line. My mom has alot of art books and when I was younger I liked picasso's scribbly sketches, couldn't find those but I enjoy this.. line of work.

Greatest Obsession of all time.

Okay so, Tallman talked of obsessions today, so I decided it was appropriate to share the admired, adored, Wunderkind of my life, it was only a matter of time.

                          HARMONY KORINE

.. from nashville, his father was a tapdancer so he named him Harmony.

The majority may know of him because he wrote the screenplay for KIDS, when he was just 18 and he did so-overnight. He also wrote severly other films such as THE BEAUTIFUL LOSERS, and KEN PARK(banned from US UK and Australia.) He also wrote/filmed/directed/produced- GUMMO, JULIEN-DONKEY BOY, and most recently Mister Lonely. GUMMO was filmed in nashville with extreme locals .."white trash" if you will, he wouldn't. He has many photograph collections, sketches,drawings,and paintings silkscreens etc.. He's also directed/produced music videos for bijork, bonny prince billy, sonic youth, and cat power. He's written "books"-(crack up at the race riots & pass the bitch chicken).I LOVE EVERYTHING HE'S EVER TOUCHED. This past summer I went to the premiere of MISTER LONELY, I couldn't even go shake his hand after, he's too iconic to me. Please read about him, look at his art, see his films. He's worked alot with Werner Herzog who I also love and you'll hear about soon. Film is something I'm very passionate about. I want to live my life like he does.

and recently I've come to respect that train of thought more and more.  Hirst once said " I can't wait to get into a position to make really bad art and get away with it.At the moment if I did certain things people would look at it, consider it,  and then say f'off' . But after a while you can get away with things". I say right on. No publicity is bad publicity ..for an artist. I above all love a shock factor maybe that's why I call myself a fan of Damien Hirst,or maybe beacause he covered a human skull in sprinkles and sold it for millions, or maybe it's because he inserted a lit cigarette into his penis during an interview.?

polaroid kid - and lives that make sense

mike brodie. 18 years old, given a polaroid camera. He hopped trains, ran with street kids, with vagabonds. I envy his life. It was beautiful and how thoughtful for him to share.
